Installing the Browser Extension

Chrome

• You can find the Workiro Chrome Extension here
• Install the Workiro Chrome Extension just like any other
• For quick access to the extension, pin it to your Chrome toolbar:
  • Click the Extensions button in the Chrome toolbar
  • Then, click the Pin button for the Workiro Extension

• For access to the Workiro Browser Extension options:
  • Right-click the Workiro Extension
  • Then, click "Options" in the context menu

Edge

• You can find the Workiro Edge Extension here
• Install the Workiro Edge Extension just like any other
• For quick access to the extension, pin it to your Edge toolbar:
  • Click the Extensions button in the Edge toolbar
  • Then, click the "Show in toolbar" button for the Workiro Extension

• For access to the Workiro Browser Extension options:
  • Right-click the Workiro Extension
  • Then, click "Extension options" in the context menu

Add new Connection

When you come across an email address on a webpage, you'll notice a plus button beside it.

You can utilize this button to swiftly establish a connection in Workiro and initiate communication with the associated contact.

To disable this feature, navigate to the Workiro Browser Extension options. Click on the three dots in the header, and then select "Create Connection From Email."

Create a Task from text

Easily initiate a Workiro task directly from any webpage by following these simple steps:

1. Highlight Text: On any web page, select the text you want to include in your task.

2. Right-Click: Right-click on the highlighted text.

3. Start Workiro Task: Choose the option to start a Workiro task from the context menu.

Your selected text will then be seamlessly incorporated as the initial comment in your new task.

If you're navigating a website configured for the Workiro Browser Extension (see Bespoke configuration), there is an additional benefit:

• Automated Information Extraction: On configured websites, the Browser Extension is designed to pull relevant information directly into your task.

  • Example: Suppose you are viewing a client record in Salesforce. By highlighting pertinent call notes, creating a Workiro task via the Browser Extension will automatically link the new task to the Salesforce client record.

The best way to make the most of your Workiro Browser Extension experience is with personalised configuration from our expert consultants. Reach out to your Account Manager for further details.

Once you're on a webpage for which the Browser Extension is configured, the Workiro Extension button will be highlighted in colour.

By clicking on the Workiro button, you can either execute the pre-configured action (such as opening Workiro for the relevant connection) or access a menu displaying a list of configured actions, giving you the option to choose which action to perform.
