You can use the Hyperlink API to create all manner of re-usable links to drive action in GetBusy.
As a simple example, you could create a shortcut on Windows or MacOS to create a new to-do from anywhere.
Creating a keyboard shortcut on Windows
Step 1 - Create a shortcut
Right click on your Windows desktop and select New -> Shortcut from the context menu.
When presented with the Create Shortcut wizard, enter the following GetBusy Hyperlink API link in the Type the location of the item field.
Give your shortcut a name, such as New GetBusy.
Step 2 - Assign a Keyboard Shortcut
Once you've created your shortcut (Step 1 above), right-click it and select Properties from the context menu.
On the Web Document tab of the shortcut properties window, click into the Shortcut key field.
With the cursor focus on the Shortcut key field, press the keyboard keys you want to assign as your keyboard shortcut, e.g. CTRL-ALT-G.
If you have selected an available combination of keys (i.e. not assigned to something else or used by the operating system), the Shortcut key field will update with your selection.
Step 3 - Try it out
Run you selected keyboard shortcut and GetBusy will come into focus (or start up if it's not already running) and initiate create of a new thread 🎉
